Complete Two-dimensional Muellermetric Imaging of Biological Tissue Using Heterodyned Optical Coherence Tomography

Abstract

A polarization-sensitive, heterodyned optical coherence tomography system is used to measure partially-polarized reflections from a porcine tendon sample. The complete 4×4 Mueller-metric images of a layer within the sample is produced using such a system.
