Propagation of Picosecond Pulses in Silicon Photonic Crystal Slab Waveguides

Abstract

We present a rigorous theoretical and numerical analysis of pulse propagation in silicon photonic crystal waveguides, showing that in the slow-light regime linear and nonlinear effects depend on the group-velocity as vg−1 and vg−2, respectively.
