Two-Photon Transparency by Current Injection in Semiconductor Quantum Wells

Abstract

We demonstrate experimentally a major step towards semiconductor based nonlinear two–photon gain and lasing – namely the two-photon transparency. The one-photon luminescence is progressively reduced by current injection down to the two-photon transparency point.
