Phase Reconstruction using Zernike Orthogonal Slope Polynomials

Abstract

We develop Zernike radial slope polynomials for phase reconstruction from wavefront slope data. These new polynomials form an orthonormal set for gradient data and thus avoid problems encountered when using spatial-derivatives of ordinary Zernike polynomials.
