Analysis of the Influence of the Spherical Aberration and Defocus in a Young Type Interferogram

Abstract

We propose an interference equation to account for the influence of spherical aberration and defocus on the irradiance distribution of interferograms typically obtained in Young type experiments. This result becomes particularly relevant to coherence measurement.
