Precise Modal Decomposition in Multimode Optical Fibers by Maximizing the Sum of Modal Power Weights

Abstract

We determine accurate modal power weights of the optical field in multimode fibers without precise knowledge of fiber or imaging system parameters by maximizing the sum of modal power weights. Experimental results will be reported.
