Improvement of Raman Amplification Gain Tilt Using Incoherent Pump Sources

Abstract

We report a Raman amplifier implemented with incoherent pumping. The experimental gain profile is compared with that of coherent pumping, showing a decrease of 0.028 dB/nm on the gain spectra tilt.
