Near-Field from 2-Dimensional Defects at Metallic Surfaces

Abstract

The diffraction of plane P-polarized electromagnetic waves from 2-D Gaussian defects is studied theoretically. The Near-Field shows that the defects acts like surface nano- antenna as its dimensions are in the nanometric range.
