Nanoconnectors at Optical Frequencies

Abstract

Following our paradigm for nano-circuit elements at optical frequencies, here we introduce the concept of ‘short-circuit’ optical nanoconnectors, consisting of plasmonic waveguides with a high- permittivity core surrounded by a low-permittivity concentric shell.
