Abstract

Electromagnetic modeling of the propagation of ultra short pulses through optical systems is based on an harmonic decomposition in combination with wave-optical propagation techniques for harmonic fields. It delivers full electromagnetic field information. Its potential is discussed in focal regions of high NA lenses.
