New Twists and Turns for Confocal Raman Microscopy

Abstract

Confocal Raman microscopes usually reject elastically scattered light. This light, however, carries information about the target’s angular scattering properties. Imaging this rejected beam creates a multimodal microscope with chemical (Raman) and structural (elastic scatter) capabilities.
