Fluorescence correlation spectroscopy of single molecules on a chip

Abstract

We demonstrate fluorescence correlation spectroscopy with single molecule sensitivity using planar integrated optofluidics. An analytic model to describe the diffusion characteristics inside liquid-core waveguides is developed and used to determine molecule concentration and mobility.
