Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) in Photonic Crystal Fibers (PCF)

Abstract

We have investigated Stimulated Brillouin Scattering (SBS) in several different Photonic Crystal Fibers (PCFs). We present results on a new Brillouin peak in these fibers and propose an explanation for its origin in those fibers.
