Micro-ring lasers in digital optical signal processing

Abstract

Here the use of micro-ring lasers as digital processing elements is outlined. Ring lasers combined with a passive ring resonator can make Boolean complete logic functions, satisfying all requirements necessary for interconnection and cascading.
