Efficient Computation of Rotationally-Symmetric Nonparaxial Fields in Terms of Spherical Waves with Complex Foci

Abstract

A scheme for computing rotationally-symmetric nonparaxial fields is proposed, based on a complete orthonormal basis given by combinations of spherical waves focused at imaginary points, whose location is chosen to optimize convergence.
