Polyamide-imide Films for Integrated Photonics

Abstract

Polyamide-imide (PAI) polymers are thermoplastics with exceptional chemical, mechanical, and thermal properties of potential interest for integrated photonics. We describe optical properties of a commercial PAI, and highly confining waveguides based on the same polymer.
