Abstract

Surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) of an amino acid - phenylalanine and an antifreeze glycoprotein have been probed using Ag-coated porous glass-ceramic substrates. SERS spectra of these bio-molecules are compared to regular Raman spectra and discussed.
