Optical Leaky-Wave Nano-Antennas Using Plasmonic Nanowires with Periodical Variation of Permittivity

Abstract

Optical wave propagation along plasmonic nanowires with periodical variation of permittivity is studied theoretically. Both guided and leaky modes are analyzed, and use of such structures as leaky-wave optical nano-antennas is explored through numerical simulation.
