All-Optical Controlled Tunable Optical Filter Using Photochromic Sol Gel Material

Abstract

An all-optical controlled tunable optical filter is realized in a straight waveguide embedded with a segment of photochromic sol-gel waveguide. Reflection-typed tunable filter is achieved by grating dynamically generated on sol-gel waveguide using two-beam interference.
