Diffraction from Arbitrarily Deformed Volume Holograms

Abstract

We derive the response of a volume hologram to arbitrary deformation, using a perturbative approach. We present experimentally the volume hologram response to deformation due to a point indenter. The experimental results are consistent with theory.
