Multispectral skin imaging for biometrics

Abstract

Multispectral imaging of skin represents a novel method to make an improved biometric determination of identity. Multispectral imaging provides a means to image both the surface characteristics and subsurface skin features, offering the promise of a sensor that has improved performance, works under adverse conditions and is difficult to spoof.
