Abstract
By optimizing curing temperature, chiral dopant and monomer concentration, we successfully demonstrated a reflective type polymer stabilized cholesteric liquid crystal (PSCLC) cell suitable for a polarization independent optical device. The optimized PSCLC showed 30dB attenuation and 12 Vrms driving voltage at 1550nm telecom wavelength.
