Abstract

A model to improve the design of a planar Bragg reflective Optical Add Drop Multiplexer is presented. Beam propagation method and numerical solvers for coupled mode equations are used to find conditions for optimum performance. Tolerances in fabrication are estimated for different penalties in the signal to noise ratio.
