Abstract

We report experimental study of the average lasing threshold and its fluctuation in closely-packed monodisperse ZnO nanospheres. A drastic decrease at small particle size followed by a plateau at large particle size is observed for lasing threshold. The size dependence of threshold fluctuation is also reported for the first time.
