Abstract

I will present an overview of our recent research on non-Gaussian statistics of optical signal in fiber communication lines. Main focus will be on soliton systems where advanced theoretical methods can be applied to derive probability distributions. Conditional probabilities for particular models of nonlinear fiber channel will be discussed.
