Abstract
The most known propagation invariant optical fields (PIOFs) are the Bessel beams [1,2]. Those of high order are accompanied of a phase factor of the form exp(imφ) that represents a vortex structure with topological charge m. It happens that it is possible to obtain other PIOFs from the Helmholtz equation which also contain vortex structure. Due to their nature, these fields transfere their propagation invariance to their embeded vortices.
