Abstract

After a short review on recent developments in Quantum Cascade (QC) lasers, which includes advances in long wavelength lasers, short pulse generation, and applications, we report on efficient intracavity nonlinear light generation in QC-lasers, in particular on optimized second harmonic generation (SHG) in laser active regions with integrated resonant nonlinear optical intersubband transitions.
