Transverse mode structure of broad area quantum dot edge emitting lasers emitting at 1060nm

Abstract

We analyse the transverse mode structure of broad area quantum dot lasers emitting at 1060nm. We measure the spectrally resolved near field and observe the presence of off-axis emission. Filamentation is observed as the injection current increases.
