Abstract
Optokinetic nystagmus (OKN) generates saccades to determine if forces exerted via the optic nerve / optic disc in higher myopes contribute to characteristic retinal traction effects encountered in these subjects. The Stiles-Crawford effect assesses associated photoreceptor orientation disturbances before and after OKN, and after recovery. Photoreceptor orientations are affected.
