Combined Optical Raytrace and Monte-Carlo Simulation of Complex Biological Imaging

Abstract

We report the first holistic modelling of optical systems for imaging in turbid media. Using a user-friendly commercial optical-design programme, we report hybrid ray- tracing and Monte-Carlo propagation to optimise optical fluorescence microscope systems and ophthalmoscopes. © 2019 The Author(s)
