Multimode fiber beam self-cleaning in the anomalous dispersion regime

Abstract

We experimentally demonstrate Kerr beam self-cleaning of picosecond pulses in the anomalous dispersion regime of graded-index multimode optical fibers, with threshold power reduced by two orders of magnitude with respect to the normal dispersion regime.
