Pseudo-Magnetic Monopole and Antimonopole in P J-Symmetric Coupled Waveguides

Abstract

PJ-symmetric coupled waveguides, for which the Berry curvature corresponds to a hyperbolic pseudo-magnetic monopole or antimonopole, are shown to have a purely imaginary Berry connection, which can induce gain and loss when it is non-periodic.
