Thermally induced spatiotemporal aberrations in high average power ultrashort compressors

Abstract

We study the heating effects of the gratings of an ultrashort pulse compressor using a kW laser diode as thermal source. Based on wavelength-dependent wavefront measurements we evaluate the spatiotemporal impact on the compressed pulses.
