Abstract

We propose and experimentally demonstrate mode splitting in integrated resonators formed by cascaded Sagnac loop reflectors (SLRs). By changing the number and reflectivity of the SLRs, rich filtering characteristics for spectral engineering are experimentally achieved and show good agreement with theory.
