Abstract

We present a compact architecture for image up-conversion from infrared to visible based on intra-cavity SHG by type-II phase matching. The proposed system stands out for using the same laser for image illumination and up-conversion so that reflected images by a Nd3+:YVO4 laser at 1342 nm are polarization-coupled into an intra-cavity KTP crystal for frequency-doubling.
