Demonstration of Stimulated Raman Scattering on a Silicon Nitride Photonic Integrated Waveguide

Abstract

We report the first demonstration of stimulated Raman scattering (SRS) enabled by an integrated nanophotonic waveguide with CW excitations. It constitutes an important step towards all-on-a-chip Raman sensor suitable for both gas and liquid detection.
