Laser direct writing of waveguides in flexible glass and ultrafast visualization of its dynamics via time-resolved interferometry

Abstract

Waveguides are inscribed onto flexible Corning® Willow® Glass using femtosecond laser pulses. Interferometric phase imaging is used to elucidate the fabrication process by measuring dynamically-evolving plasma densities on ultrashort time scales.
