Spatially-resolved spin manipulation using ac-Stark effect

Abstract

We used a Zeeman-like ac-Stark shift to perform spatially-resolved rotations of spins in cold rubidium. Using SLM we extended coherent spins oscillations time and imprinted comb-like patterns on the atomic ensemble.
