Overcoming Spectral Stagnation in Supercontinuum Generation

Abstract

We present a new approach that increases bandwidth of supercontinuum generation by alternating the sign of dispersion along the interaction length, bypassing mechanisms that limit bandwidth in typical approaches. The method should be particularly suited for fiber and integrated optical waveguides.
