Beyond the Goos–Hänchen Effect: Resonance-Induced Spatial Reshaping and its Application in Measuring Resonance Linewidth

Abstract

We study the spatial distribution of a beam as it interacts with a planar resonator. Our result encompasses the familiar Goos–Hänchen effect and more complicated scenarios, and can be used for measuring resonance linewidth.
