Resonance-enhanced nonlinear optical effects in strong-field ionized nitrogen molecules

Abstract

We report on lasing actions and extraordinary supercontinuum generation in strong-field ionized nitrogen molecules. It was revealed that these unexpected emissions result from a series resonant nonlinear optical processes in molecular ions.
