Abstract

We demonstrate a microwave synthesizer based on a mode-locked fiber laser and all-fiber photonics, which outputs 9–11 GHz signals with integrated timing jitter of 7.6-fs to 9.1-fs [integration bandwidth: 10 Hz-10 MHz] and frequency switching time of 135-ns.
