Few-Cycle-Pulse-Driven Metasurface-Based Multi-Color X-ray Source

Abstract

We present a multi-harmonic metasurface-based hard X-ray source in which velocity-matched few-cycle laser pulses lead to output brightness enhancements of over 1000 times compared with the non-optimized case.
