Tri-comb and quad-comb generation from a multidimensional-multiplexed fiber laser

Abstract

By tapping into multiple wave-guiding dimensions in optical fiber, it is demonstrated that up to four wavelength/polarization multiplexed, asynchronous ultrashort pulse sequences can be generated with good stability from an all-fiber, ring-cavity, mode-locked fiber laser.
