Modulation Bandwidth Enhancement and Chirp Reduction in DFB Lasers with Active Optical Feedback

Abstract

1.55-μm DFB lasers with active optical feedback exhibits high modulation bandwidth and reduced frequency chirp. 25-Gb/s clearly open eyes and 10-km SMF error-free transmission with small power penalty was achieved.
