High repetition-rate pulse generation from SESAM-free electrically pumped VECSEL

Abstract

High repetition-rate pulse generation in a SESAM-free electrically pumped VECSEL is demonstrated. The laser produces output pulses with a duration of 140 ps, pulse energy of 3.6 pJ, and repetition rate of 1.97 GHz.
