Abstract

Possibilities are studied to increase energy extraction from the master oscillator whore high stability radiation with diffraction-limited beam divergence is excited by selection of longitudinal and transverse modes. To this end, a light beam emerging from the master oscillator is broadened with a telescope to match the aperture of the active element, frequency-shifted (if necessary) and by means of a Faraday rotator F1 and polarizer P1 is re-entered into the master oscillator.
