Abstract
A CPM-dye ring laser was mounted on a rotary stage. Optical pumping of the laser was achieved by guiding argon-ion laser light via a single-mode glass fiber. When the two counterpropagating pulses were overlapped in an external interferometer and the laser was rotated, the Sagnac effect obeying a linear sealing law was observed. No lock-in was found.1,2
