Abstract

We reported a 56-kHz spectral linewidth1 produced by introducing a corrugation-pitch-modulated (CPM) grating into 1.2-mm long MQW distributed feedback (MQW-DFB) lasers. The present paper reports the wavelength tuning and PM response characteristics of three-section CPM-MQW-DFB lasers.
