Abstract

In conventional optical detection systems, the receiver-sensitivity limit is determined from shot noise. However, the amplitude squeezing of light enables us to break the shot-noise limit. In this paper, we propose a novel scheme for the amplitude squeezing, called a double-balanced transmitter.
